Mee Kong Motorbike Explore, I killed and ate a snake

This morning I was woken to a herd of roosters trying to get lucky. All four of us (backpackers) are off on a bike tour of the delta this morning. I woke at 6am. I had a very basic shower...which still felt like heaven to me. It consisted of only about half a cup of icy water.
This place and the host I cant speak enough off. Very awesome and very well worth investing two days+ to.
Right now I'm being served up a Vietnam iced coffee and a huge bowl of noodles...way too much yummy food ! ... The bikes are lined up ready, but the others have not risen yet.

We are not expected back until about 7PM tonight ... so another very full day!
I will try my best to grab some GPS coords as we go so I can map it later.
:
Huge motorbike ride around the Mee Kong Delta today. Yesterday I ate rabbit and drank rice wine with the locals (as the boat tour). Didn't really affect me...even with the few beers later in the hot day.
Today I ate some snake, which I was allowed to kill, by cutting its head off with scissors. Leah kindly recorded the gory event for me. Tastes like tough chicken to me...but far too many bones. I also got to drink its blood with rice wine. Tasted like rice wine with a blood nose really.

The ride was 70 kms long based on the bike odometer. Leah, Sonja and I went, guided by the amazing Mr Thai.
We stopped many times to sample and learn of the many fruits, cross rickety bridges, board ferries to cross parts of the Delta, and to stop for lunch. The local food has been consistently amazing.
There were two times I farted, when I was certain it would end in tears...each stop of the bike warranted a quick check...just to be sure...Im glad to say I'm still puffing air only thus far.

At the place we bought the snake, i was able to get the chance to pick up a very large poisonous snake. I know it was so because neither the guide or the local would take it from me...i placed the big fella back into his cage. Got video and lots of photos of all of the above, I am recording a huge amount of the trip on Go Pro also.
My phone was slow to pickup GPS coords during our short stops, so hopefully i can map this trip later with the following data...

10.33417,106.31497 ferry stop
10.32895,106.19305 Orchard milk fruit

Sonja and Leah are heading south to Can Tho then across  the border to Cambodia. Nina is staying on i believe  And myself, i was close to buying a bike ... only  $350, and ride all the way north to Hanoi. ...then sell it, although I'm hearing reports from other travellers the weather is very cold and wet. So I'll shelve that  and rent a bike as i had planned once in Hanoi when i get there....then do the 11 day bike trip from that point.
My plan is now to bus to Saigon (in the morn) for about 75000 vnd, then secure an afternoon or overnight sleeper-bus direct to Da Lat. Apparently its not easy to get from Mui Ne to Da Lat, and Da Lat has much to see. Will hire a bike and hit out on my own for a few days ... heading out into the countryside.
