It was nice to use the WIFI for a quick Skype to Sharon today.
But after hearing Jingle Bells in the Cafe 600 times it was time to move on, if not only for my own sanity.
Im using my 6400mah charger (bought them in Bangkok) now to keep things charging, it seems to work well...i was nervous I had bought a small empty plastic container !
...
I walked around and priced a number if operators, looks like the going rate is 12-13 american dollars to sleeper bus from Saigon to Da Lat. I booked and paid my 270000 vnd at 2:45 pm. I will be at the operator at 8:30pm tonight to leave 9pm. And should get in 7-8 hours later....assuming it goes all the way.
Hoping to get a sleep on the bus, they have lay down seats.
For the day I have left my backpack with them and headed for a bar...very very hot here today. Right now I'm sweating like a rapist (to use a classic Marc Ellis's phrase)! !.
Nice just sitting, sipping juice/beer and watching this crazy world go by. One of the funniest things I saw was an Aussie guy screaming at the staff because he had no dressing on a caeser salad that he had been served. They could not understand his description of "dressing". He went nutso at them. I tried to help by saying "white sauce". The veitnamese barman understood when I said that to him. The waiter looked at me, said to me "he prick with no sauce" and walked off. The guy tipped his plate upside down and walked out. Boy, he will find it tough over here lol
Had a few beers with a hard case couple of Brit blokes. One of them partyed so hard while here a week ago, he blew a blood vessel in one eye. He spent a day in hospital here and is blind until he gets home. He is not allowed to laugh as it pushs up his blood pressure...I brought out some of my funniest stories..hes in pain now. ..we had a blast, and it helped kill some time lol
They did not think much of Nga Trang they are here to party and it was too quiet for them. Im still keen to see it...perhaps after Da Lat. Da Lat is 7 hours from here. Nga Trang is 7 hours, but only a few hours from Da Lat.
Shortly I'll go get some snackfood, visit a coffee shop that I know I can charge up my devices, then head for the bus.
