Well this morning i am due to check out from Hoi An and head up towards Hue. i'm of two minds as to whether to stay in Da Nang or not. I have been told that Da Nang is the third largest city in vietnam, so it could warrant a visit or an overnight stay as per my plan i was going to catch a train from there and go on 2 Hue, but I might give it one night. think is the possibility I can pick up a small camera from Da Nang so i might have a one day stopove there. It would be shame to miss it I guess. I understand there is not too much of interest there, but Ill check it out myself anyway.
i have read that the train from Da Nang to Hue is a particularly beautiful trip as opposed to taking the bus. The bus goes through a 20 km (?) tunnel apparently missing all of the scenery. So I'm hoping I can book a window seat for this part of the trip but before that I will stay in the Da Nang area overnight I'm thinking.
It will be more convient to catch a cab to Da Nang from Hoi An. So I'll climb my lazy arse out if bed, have a shower and get my mess packed up.
Hoi An was certainly the prettiest town that i have seen in Vietnam. It is a fantastic location if you are into photography there are many really nice high quality stores for tailoring, food and the such as opposed to much of the cheap junk stuff that i have seen elsewhere. The ancient town certainly has an amazing feel to it. It is a place you really must visit if you come to Vietnam. To miss it would be a real real shame.
