Hanoi photo shoot

I'm not having much joy with the WIFI at this Hotel, but on the upside, I had the best breakfast I've had at any hotel thus far.

Today, I went with Shanine whom I had met on arriving in Hanoi, and we went photographing the places an people of Hanoi. We tried to capture lots of old people, and their character. We found the railway tracks near the Ga Hanoi (Station) and followed the tracks to capture the scenes and people that live along the tracks.I think I got a lot of good shots and a lot of bad shots ... but that's the norm. We were lucky enough to have a train come through while we stood on the tracks to get a photo or three.

We also dropped into the Ga Hanoi to price and timetable the Train to do Ha Long Bay. It appears to be about 55,000 vnd for a train to Hai Phong. There is no train to ha Long bay.
It's most likely we'll catch the 9:20 am from Long Bien station. This station appears to be a 15 min north of this accommodation  I plan to do a decent 3 day/two night cruise on Ha Long bay - but that's subject to weather. The train trip is about 2.5 hours.

I figure that Ha Long bay is one of the main features I have come to Vietnam to see, so I'd like to do a good tour as opposed to a cheap operator. Still looking at options - but I'm thinking I'll include the extra day and do Cat Ba.

I'm thinking from here I'll do 3 days (19th-21st) Ha Long, head to Sa Pa and do 2-3 days there (22th-25th), come back to Hanoi (26th/27th) hopefully a day or two (and see the Snake Village), then maybe fly home - 27th-ish.

My total photo count so far across all memory cards is 4,269 photos.
