Bridge over the river Kwai

A big day today. I write this post as we start a 3 hr bus trip back to Bangkok.

Our tour was good, we got a load of photos and i only got told off for one temple photo today..and that was only due to a misunderstanding on my part...not a deliberate action this time.
Sharon is enjoying the tour and we've had a lot of laughs.

The day started with a 6am pickup, 1.5 hours by bus/race car then to the boat ramp. We caught a James Bond speedboat to the Bridge on the River Kwai  and docked on the same side. I walked the full length  of it, and overdosed on photos.

We then went to the death railway museum and POW cemetery. Quite sobering to see really.

From there we drove to the lunch place near the river and had a traditional thai lunch and on to the train station for a ride on the actual Death Railway. Lots of great photos as the train crossed the old trestle bridge slowly.

From there its on the long bus trip back.

And if this next one does not stop a train .... nothing will !
