I went for a wander to try and find a camera shop. I only found two dodgy dealers who would sell a camera, but no manual...yeh right mate !!!
I'm keen to pickup a 5m waterproof handheld, but I'll have another look on Hoi An.
I hailed a cab, and asked him to take me to the Vinpearl cable car. He stopped half way and told me to buy a ticket at a shop he pulled in at. The place was all set up and looked genuine, but I had read of this scam the previous night in an online forum. I insisted he take me all the way to the cable car station, which he then did. All the way there I barrelled him for trying to scam me, I gave him half the meter fare and told him it was a lesson he needed to learn about how to treat tourists.
I quickly disappeared into a busy crowd until I saw his car leave.
I bought my ticket to the resort island for 550000 vnd (AU $32 when it came through on my Visa) ... the correct price. other tickets do exist at that price, but they are not all accepted once you arrive !
I boarded and crossed the seaway. Awesome must do trip.

For that price you get all day on the island, all rides, underwater world, the water park all included.
I spent most of my time floating around the lazy river pool like an old beached whale on an inner tube. But I did some of the bigger slides also.
I would recommend the island especially if you have kids.
They search your bags before you get on the cable car for food, then over price the food on the island. I had a bubble gum frozen soda drink....in fact I had three ...mmmmmm. Travis you would love this place! There is a massive games arcade built into the hill. All games and activities are free.
Be aware they charge 10000 vnd to have your bag stored in a locker, then the same fee to get it in and out each time. The price is not so bad, its the long line of people and only one attendant. It is worth noting that that was nearly the only thing I had to line up for. I made the mistake of getting my go-pro out but leaving its memory card in my other camera ... in the locker. I took my go-pro everywhere and did not record a thing lol

Before I left, I got my bag and recorded a trip down the mountain on the toboggan though.
At one point there was a massive explosion...Ive never heard anything like it in my life. I felt it go right through my lard. Everybody dived for cover under the slides etc. It was at a quarry or building site next to tbe water park. They had to check all the pools to make sure no rocks had landed in any pools ....holy crap !!

Just near to the park exit next to the cable car, I stopped for a burger. (Lotteria)... The girl serving constantly had her finger up her nose. She either had very short fingers, or a very deep nasal cavity !
I ordered and ate the burger anyway, I figured I've already eaten worse things here :-)
