While at the monestry I met a chinese couple good english... they were from Aussie, ghey suggested I dont leave Da Lat without seeing the "Valley of Love".
Now in my time I've see a number of these "Valleys of love" its fair to say, but I understood this one go be a geological Valley.
*wink*
I thought it may warrent an extra day here I thought.
Most say 3 or 4 days is enough, although I seem to be able to get though a lot in a short period of time. Ill see how I go today and decide later on.
I get on the bike and head down the road to the waterfalls. I soon find a massive carpark full of tourist buses. I pay my 2000 vnd to have my bike guarded and head in. Ticket to enter 20000 vnd.
:
I write this part of the post about midday. Im sitting on a huge flat rock under a massive beautiful waterfall. I have taken so many pictures. There is also a roller coaster ride here through the jungle also. There is an elevator for 30000 vnd to get down below the falls for a better view. Of couse I could not resist. The river and streams here are gorgeous. Very NZ Sth Island like.
It's a huge walk back up the stairs, I think for 40 mins or so...but I'm up for it.
:
Wow what a hike that was. It has a roller coaster that winds down the valley quite a way, then a cable car to take you further, then an elevator in the bush to go even deeper down the valley. I walked the whole way with the exception of the elevator which is mandatory and another 30000 vnd to get photos looking back up at the falls. On the way back up I wandered off into the bush for a slash about half way up, and found some sort of rope trek. Climbed along a few mins, but it did not seem to go anywhere.
When I got to the top I was dripping with sweat. I can advise you that the monks this morning have the monastery in the wrong location, for here at the top... I find a restaurant with ice cold beer... I had found my own type of heaven !
