Soon 3 full bus loads of people were dropped off at the door and we all made our way in.
My ticket said Seat H20, and the seats only went up to H19 ... and there was a small fold up stool there at the end of the row ... My instant thought was you have to be kidding me.
I say in H19, and when the real owners for H19 appeared, we agreed I had misread my ticket and my seat was back in H10 - the one was written all curly like a two - phew! lol
The Water Puppet show was fantastic - a must see when in Hanoi (where apparently it is best). It was all in Vietnamese and you had no idea what was going on, but the way it was done was fascinating to me. I'm not sure that you would see anything like that elsewhere in the world actually.
It was time to think about my next steps now ... so on the way home I stopped in and booked a bus to Sa Pa for the morning. Early start at 6:30am, and its a good 6 hours - so a long day ahead. I also stopped to pick up some fruit and water etc for the trip.
I also booked my return trip for the 26th back to Hanoi, and my final Vietnam night back here in Hanoi for the 27th. The Sa Pa return bus trip was US$34. Each night here has cost me $300,000 vnd.
I also recommend this hotel. Its not the flashiest, but bang for buck its good, the people are the best Ive had, and the breakfasts are really good to. Maria is very helpful.
I have no accommodation booked in Sa Pa yet, but I'll book that when I arrive.
