Bangkok - Final day.

Up quite late last night as we tried using the hotel computer to transfer and consolidate a number of GoPro video files and over 600 photos (thus far) via USB so that Sharon can take them safely back home. The ancient computer was looking like it would take months to do this despite my selection of high speed cards, so we abandoned that plan. I would certainly carry my MacBook Pro next trip. Using a Tablet is a little cumbersome for blogging.  (You'll have to excuse the poor spelling, typing and grammar for the moment). Also I note that the data sim card I bought for use here in Bangkok has worked very well for Internet connectivity. It has been well worth it. I'll get a new one for Vietnam.

In the end, we opted to enjoy a pizza in the room and catch up on the news.

It was a nice relaxing day yesterday, so we felt we might strike out for Bangkok Chinatown/market and walk some backstreets.

Before we leave for the market this morning we will sort out and pack our luggage. Im going to backpack around Vietnam and hope to spend two weeks on an off road moterbike so Im very aware of keeping my luggage minimal.

Sharon and I bought over a spare suitcase, which we will pack with the 580 handbags and other items we aquired while here.

I fly at 6:25pm and Sharon flys about midnight. So we will go to the airport together and get settled in there. My flight is about 1.5 hours or so which puts me in Ho Chi Min City after 8pm. Sharon arrives in Brisbane about midday. I have no accommodation  booked in HCMC so first task will be to find lodgings.

You can see my rough itenarary plans from both the map at the very bottom of this page and by using the links above.

I guess Ill do another post once we are checked into the airport tonight. Lets see what happens at the markets :-)
